Terms of use
MAD Training app · updated 3 November 2026
These terms cover your use of the MAD Training app, run by Melbourne Athletic Development (“MAD”, “we”). By signing in you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Notice.
1. What the app is
The app shows you the training program your coach or physio has written for you, and lets you record your sessions. It is a training tool.
2. Training, not medical advice
- Your program is written for you by your coach or physio. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- Train within your limits and use the technique you have been shown. If you feel pain, dizziness or unwell, stop and speak to your coach, physio or doctor.
- Tell your coach or physio about any change in your health or injuries, so your program stays right for you.
- In an emergency call 000. The app is not an emergency service.
3. The check-in button
The check-in button asks someone at MAD to contact you. It is not monitored around the clock, and staff respond during normal business hours. If it is urgent, phone us or call 000.
4. Your account
- Your account is for you only. Do not share your sign-in links or let someone else use your phone to sign in as you.
- If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away.
5. Using the app properly
- Give us accurate information, and keep your session notes to your training.
- Do not try to see anyone else’s information, get around the app’s security, or interfere with how it works.
- We may suspend or close an account that is misused, or when you stop training with us.
6. Programs and videos
Your program and the exercise videos are for your own training. Please do not copy them or pass them on. Videos hosted on YouTube are also covered by YouTube’s own terms.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the app available, but it may be down for maintenance or because of problems outside our control, and we cannot promise it will always work.
8. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be limited. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, MAD is not liable for loss or injury that results from your use of the app in a way that goes against these terms or your coach’s or physio’s instructions.
9. If you are under 18
If you are under 18, please read these terms with your parent or guardian before you use the app.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and ask you to accept the new terms the next time you sign in.
